Happy-go-lucky

"Happy-go-lucky"
Judy Royal Glenn Photography

I walked up on this little fellow while I was at the Little Mulberry Park in Auburn, Georgia.  He was unconcerned by my presence.  I sat down on the ground to get a low angle.

I would take a few photographs and scoot closer to him.  I repeated this over and over until I was as close as I needed to be.  Then I enjoyed spending time with him while I took photographs:)  I love photographing wildlife!

This baby chipmunk is peeking out of his hole to make sure all is clear.

There are some photographers that like to have grain added to their photos.  I am not one of those.  This is the first photograph in which I have added a lot of grain.  I like it for this photo.

It's great when the hummingbirds give me an added bonus and land on something that gives me a great background.  This Ruby-Throated hummingbird landed in front of a vibrant colored plant called Amaranth Opopeo.

Sunset Pelican

When I want to photograph birds at sunset, there is always a risk the location I pick will come up empty.  There is no hurrying off to another location that day if there aren't birds there.  I was pleased to find this pelican waiting to have its portrait taken.

A Pillow Of Water

"A Pillow Of Water"
Judy Royal Glenn Photography

My husband and I headed to the mountains for me to photograph the fall colors.  We went to two waterfalls before we headed to Tallulah Gorge State Park.

The park was packed.  We asked what was going on and were told today was the first of several water release dates.  Normally, there is 35-40 cubic feet per second flowing through the gorge.  Today, there were 500 CFS!  Kayakers have the dates saved on their calendars and come out to enjoy the great rapids.

My agenda quickly changed.  How many times will I be able to photograph world class kayakers going over a class five rapid?  I set up my tripod and watched as the kayakers hit the huge wall of water and totally disappeared.....kayak and all.

I love this photograph because it looks like the kayaker is hugging a pillow of water.

I love when I am able to capture a photograph where the reflection in the water is a mirror image of the subject.
