ðŸĶ‰ðŸ’™"Whooo Are You?"ðŸĶ‰ðŸ’™

ðŸĶ‰ðŸ’™"Whooo Are You?"ðŸĶ‰ðŸ’™

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

I was thrilled to be able to photograph a Great Horned Owlet and his family. I could watch them forever. This is only the second time I’ve had the privilege of doing so.

Sometimes the best way to photograph him was by lying down. Sadly, they have fledged:(

He is a cutie! What do you think?

ðŸĶĒ❤️"Like a Charm”ðŸĶĒ❤️

ðŸĶĒ❤️"Like a Charm”ðŸĶĒ❤️

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

I love it when I can envision a shot. It doesn’t come easy, but I’m thrilled when the outcome is even better than expected.

Yesterday, I was photographing with friends when I noticed two swans near a red reflection from a barn in the pond.

“I want to photograph them in that,” I said as I pointed to the reflection.

We took turns leading the swans to the reflection with food. When my friends walked away, I wanted to try one more time. I ran up the path and they followed, and then ran fast back to where I wanted to take the photo. It worked like a charm.

ðŸĶ‹ðŸ’§“Butterfly Buffet”ðŸĶ‹ðŸ’§

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

I had quite a few gulf fritillary chrysalises over wintered in my garage on my plants. With a warming trend recently, three butterflies decided to come out.

The photo shows my three butterflies feeding at their butterfly buffet which contains sugar water. I have a nice enclosure for them with several flowers also.

My Butterfly Club named the first one Bailey and we have not named the other two yet:) Bailey is the butterfly with tattered wings.

What shall I call the other two?

*A bear and bobcat print can be seen in the sand in Cades Cove, Tennessee.

I love looking for animal tracks when I’m in the Cove. My favorite two prints to find are the bear and the bobcat. I do extensive hiking, and one day, when it snowed, I saw a bobcat print in the snow on a log across a stream.

While walking down a dry creek bed, I recently found a bear paw print and a bobcat print. I put my hand next to it for scale. I was very excited!

I love the fall, but I miss many things about the spring, including this fox kit. The little ones are so much fun to watch as they wrestle and play.

This kit enjoyed a few moments of solace without his siblings while standing near a tomato plant, enjoying the peace and quiet.

ðŸĶ…💔As the Eagle SoarsðŸĶ…💔

 “As the Eagle Soars”

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

*An eagle soars over Lake Junaluska, North Carolina, showcasing the clouds wrapped around the mountain.

The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene resulted in widespread destruction and loss of life. My heart aches as I think about the millions of people affected by this powerful storm, including the communities of Lake Junaluska and Maggie Valley.

The eagle's perspective has shifted as it glides above the area. Many businesses have been forced to permanently close due to their inability to afford the costs of rebuilding.

Lake Junaluska holds a special place in my heart—my family has been visiting there since I was a child. Every summer, we make a trip to this beautiful place, and this past July, we had the pleasure of introducing our son's fiancÃĐe to this wonderful location.

He's a Looker!

He's a Looker!

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

This White House-chested Emerald hummingbird was checking me out in Trinidad.

Paul and I had a wonderful time on our cruise this past November into the beginning of December last year. We traveled to many countries, but we took this particular cruise to visit Trinidad because of the amazing hummingbirds there.

Paul and I went to Theodore and Gloria's home and spent the day photographing his hummingbirds.

If you want to see a broad range of hummingbirds at his home, you can go to Yerette…Home of the Hummingbird on Facebook. Or, you can plan a visit there. It will be

worth it.

Lining Up

* A mute swan glides through colorful reflections. *

I love photographing the wildlife at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. My favorites subjects there are the mute swans and bald eagles. Through the years, many more swans have been purchased, making it easier to find one to photograph.

I envisioned the shot I wanted to take when I saw this swan nearing a colorful reflection, which made the shot more interesting. His white reflection is beginning to line up with the other.

“A New Creation”

“A New Creation”

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

The Lord created so many beautiful creatures. Butterflies are one of my favs—monarchs at that.

Watching a caterpillar change to a chrysalis and then a chrysalis to a butterfly is an amazing process. Only God can do that.

Did you know a caterpillar turns into liquid mush? How can one creature turn into another? Only God.

Easter has come and gone, but the Lord’s steadfast love will always endure. He loves you very much and uniquely created you in your mother’s womb. How special you are to Him!

He loves you so much that He sent His only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins. But it all had a great purpose: to ensure we have a place with Him in Heaven if we trust and believe in His son as our personal Lord and Savior.

Trusting Him for our salvation is as simple as ABC.

A — Admit that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:23)

B — Believe that Jesus, God’s only son, was born and died on the cross for your sins. (Acts 16:31)

C — Confess and repent of your sins and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. (1 John 1:9)

Like the butterflies, your new life will be an incredible transformation. “This means that anyone is in Christ; he is a new creation. The old has passed; behold, the new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NLT).

“Higher Ground”

“Higher Ground”

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

Last week, I had a slight advantage photographing an eight-point buck in Cades Cove, Tennessee. Bobby and his wife Debra allowed me to stand in the bed of their truck to get higher ground. The brush was tall and made it very difficult to photograph.

When I first found him, he was near the side of the road but in the thicket. Shortly after, he bedded down and could barely be seen. Before long, he was on the prowl because it was rut season, and a few does were in the area.

I am thankful for the generosity of Bobby and Debra.

Out of the Shadows

“Out of the Shadows”

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

Murfree Springs Wetlands hosts amazing wildlife! When I am in the area, I stop by and walk the wooden boardwalk around the wetlands.

I was told the raccoons there died from distemper, and one family was left. Luckily, that one family of raccoons decided to show up and grace us with their presence.

The mama had three babies in tow. They meandered through the brush looking for their morning feast and occasionally popped their heads up to peak at us.
