I went to the Bear Hollow Zoo in Athens, Georgia last week to photograph the owls at the zoo.  Alton looks like a normal Barred owl until he faces forward.

They think he was hit by a car. His eye was surgically removed. He's still a beautiful owl:)

This young bear ran up the tree to get away from his sibling.  The sibling waited at the bottom of the tree for a while.  The bear had a hard time getting back down the tree.  Eventually, he figured it out and got down.
