Judy Royal Glenn Photography

I recently attended the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference.  One of my favorite things to do is hike to the lake.  It is so tranquil and quiet.

I took my camera and wanted to photograph the beautiful reflections in the lake.  A floating dock rests on the lake with a place to sit, inviting people to come and relax.

I tried hard not to move the dock by walking slowly so I would not disturb the calm waters.  The smallest movement I made though caused ripples.  The ripples traveled all the way to the other side of the lake.

As with my writing, and trying to get my book published, even though I am one, I can make a difference.  My impact can reach those on "the other side of the lake."

We all make "ripples" in our lives.  What good is being caused by the "ripples" in your life?

  1. What a beautiful post! You are so right. It is hard to believe that what we are doing is really going to even matter but as you pointed out, even the simplest of steps makes a big difference over time. How sweet to remind us!

  2. Thanks Laura:) This is exactly what your writing will do.....make ripples and impact people! ~ Judy
