Focus On The SON

"Focus On The SON"  Photo by Judy Royal Glenn

As I drove back from dropping my son off at school, I noticed the bright, big sun coming up.  It was beautiful!  The thought that popped in my mind was "That is what I need to focus on!"  Meaning, I needed to focus on the SON, not the sun.

There were a few clouds in front of the sun that were skewing the shape of the sun a little making it seem oval.  But, the truth be told, the SON never changes; He is always there.

This particular photo brings back so many memories because I took it at an Easter sunrise service on St. Simons Island.  My mom had just recently passed away from ALS, and it was our first holiday without Mom.  The SON was what got me through those tough times!

If you don't know the SON, He will change your life like He did mine!  It is easy as ABC.....  A: Admit you are a sinner (Romans 3:23)    B: Believe in Jesus (Acts 16:31)       C: Confess your sins (1 John 1:9)

Peaceful

This white duck was nestled under some trees at the bank of a lake.
He was very peacful, and he did not mind I was photographing him from a close distance.

Until right after I took my pictures, my sunglasses fell off my hat and landed about twelve  inches in front of the duck.  I thought they were going to go into the pond!

Hangin' On

I found this little guy on my front porch not long ago.

He was kinda scared of me, so he kept jumping round from place to place.  Note his little "toe" is raise on his left "foot."

No direct eye contact, but he still has his eye on me!

Wrapped In A Blanket Of Flowers

When I was at Callaway Gardens, I found a lot of  finches amongst the flowers.

There is a funny ending to this photo session.  I did not know the garden was closed until my husband called to tell me the gate was locked.  I wasn't paying attention to anything but the birds.  I had no idea!  I had to climb over the fence to get out:)

Meet Me Out Back!

I had the hardest time giving this photo a title.  I can't put into words the emotions this photo makes me feel!

After a trip to the Botanical Garden, I noticed them in a field near the fence. I parked my car on the side of the road and started taking pictures.  This one is my favorite!  I love his coloring; he seems like a very sweet horse.

This one was in a desperate need of grooming!  Well, I've kept a small secret about these little guys, they are truly little!  Hence the reason I gave you pics of just their head shots.

They are so cute.  While I was there, two other cars pulled off the side of the road to look at them.

If I straddled this horse, my toes would probably touch the ground!

This one makes me snicker.

Because of a previous visit to Callaway Gardens, I knew where to find hummingbirds.  I went two different days to take photos of them.  They are so fast, and it is difficult for me to get the perfect photo!  I had a little help with this one!!

It's much easier to take a photograph when the hummingbird has landed!

Marked With A Heart

I prayed once again for the Lord to bring me things to take pictures of.  I really wanted to take photos of a ladybug and was excited when I found one!  When I cropped the photo, I found something neat......he was "Marked With A Heart."  The heart is right behind his head!

I finagled the branch in these photos to get the background image I wanted.

I love the shape of the cloud in the background!

Carnival Ride

I never really thought about God having a sense of humor until this past year. He has shown me personally His sense of humor while at work, but He recently has shown me though flowers. I aptly named this photo, "Carnival Ride."

When I looked at the details of this flower it reminded me of a carnival ride.
He just amazes me!

Sorry, I could not leave this one out!

Along The Path

On my latest excursion to the Botanical Garden....I decided I would explore a path that lead to the river.  Along the path I encountered many things.  My least favorite showed up early along the path.

The end of the first path lead me to the river.  I could go either right or left.  I had no idea where I was going, so I decided to go right.

I found a couple of cute birds.  This one was across the river sitting on a log!

I also walked along the bank of the river.  I found this old dead tree, and I was amazed it still had "life" growing inside it.  Click on the next three photos for a closer view and guess what they are:

#1

#2  You have to look real hard because my camera focused on the twigs not what was in the twigs.

#3  Again my camera focused on the thicket and not what was in it.

Answer: #1  A wasp nest on the tree limb in the middle of the river.
#2 Crunch, crunch, crunch, as I heard a rabbit biting an acorn?
#3 A mouse in the thicket!

Thanks for coming "Along The Path" with me!

Illuminated

When I took this photo, the flower did not look like this at all.  The middle of the flower is illuminated.  I don't even remember seeing the star pattern in the middle.  All I saw was a purple flower!  I am amazed:)
