"Ho! Ho! Ho!"

Ginger, (a Yorkshire terrier) is quite the mess. Trying to get her to sit still with a Santa hat on made for an interesting shoot:) I love the natural light shining through the blinds, which is reflected in her eye.

No Snow Here!

No Snow Here!
Judy Royal Glenn Photography

On Christmas day last year, after the hustle and bustle of the day was finished, I went to the beach to photograph the shorebirds. This cute “snowman” greeted me. I was thankful someone built it and left it for others to enjoy.

It rarely snows on St. Simons Island, but I remember when I was younger waking up to snow on the ground. The only other time I can “remember” it snowing was when I was in college. We made not one, but two snowmen in the front yard. I even made a snow angel.

Celebrating Jesus' Birth Through Ornaments

"Celebrating Jesus' Birth Through Ornaments"  Photo by Judy Royal Glenn

Since we are celebrating Christmas, I thought I would change my blog for today to reflect Jesus' birth.  It ties together because He is the one who allows me to see through His eyes.

I have enjoyed making wooden ornaments through the years.  My favorites happen to be the ones that celebrate the birth of Jesus.

"And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger....

"And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear.  And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."  (ESV, Luke 2.8-11)

"But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart."  (ESV, Luke 2:19)

I hope you have a blessed and Merry CHRISTmas!
