Some more baby hummingbird fun!
This photo is a clip from a video of a ruby-throated baby hummingbird out of his nest, on a
branch and licking it! Video shot the day he fledged on June 25, 2015.
Did you know some hummingbirds lick tree sap? It is high in nutrients:) It is probably what this little guy is doing or maybe he is just checking out his environment. Notice the down feathers still on his back:)
