Poppy Seed Lover

“Poppy Seed Lover”
Judy Royal Glenn Photography

I went to the State Botanical Garden of Georgia today to photograph flowers, but who can pass up photographing a pretty finch on a poppy pod when the opportunity presents itself? Usually, the finches are very skiddish and won’t let me get close. Today, they were posing and let me rip the shutter!

Zinnia Delight

"Zinnia Delight"

The State Botanical Garden is beautiful by itself, but when you add wildlife, it makes it even prettier.

Finch are abundant in the garden, and they are very vocal.  I heard this finch in the zinnia before I saw him.  He then popped on top of the zinnia to pose for the photograph.

Amongst The Beauty

One of the things I really enjoyed about my last trip to the Biltmore House was photographing the birds.  I really did not have the lens I wanted to photograph the flowers, but I had my favorite zoom lens!

Who Am I?

"Who Am I?"
Judy Royal Glenn Photography

I went toThe State Botanical Garden of Georgia yesterday, and they hard the bird feeders full, so the birds and chipmunks were happy!

I have a hard time identifying birds and usually get it wrong, so I will not try.  Anyone know "Who Am I?"  A friend answered for me:   American goldfinch in his/her winter color.

I love when I can find the Goldfinch at the garden.  With all of the colorful flowers, he just blended in.
