“Standing Out”

Yesterday was the first
snow in Cades Cove, Tennessee for 2019. It was a delight to see God’s nature
decorated in white.
I knew it would be easier
to see the bears because they would stand out against the freshly fallen snow.
Even though I loved seeing the snow, my mission was bears, bucks, and birds.
My usual prayer went up,
“Lord, show me or bring to me what you want me to photograph.”
When I saw a bear jam
(traffic backed up because of tourist stopping to view the bears near the road)
I quickly pull over and walked to where people were gathered on the side of the
road.
The momma bear was with
her yearlings and hunting for food under the snow. My Christmas present came
early—she stood up on her hind legs. What a sight! (low res photo)
