This oak tree has its own name in Cades Cove, Tennessee. It’s called, “The Tree.” It stands majestically in an open field and is a favorite for photographers.

This particular day was neat as snow fell the first day of spring and dusted the mountains and fields.

This is my neighbor's tree.  She told me this was planted before her daddy died.  She refers to it as "Daddy's tree."

 I am trying to branch out with my photography. My favorite things to photograph are still flowers and birds......especially hummingbirds. Since flowers are limited and hummers haven't migrate back yet, it is a great time to search for different things. The color and texture of this Paperbark Maple caught my eye at my favorite place in the world: The State Botanical Garden of Georgia!
