I enjoyed teaching my class today "Where do the hummingbirds 'hide'?" at the Botanical Garden. Thanks to my friend Heather Lickliter Larkin for doing the Q & A for us! After class, we walked the trail and had fun watching the hummers chase each other.

Trail maps are available in the Visitor's Center. The hot spots today were markers # 11 and # 17 - # 19.

There seems to be a decline in the numbers of hummingbirds this year. Remember the females are nesting and on their nest most of the hour.

Join us for our next two rambles on July 30 and August 20 from 9-11 as we find the hummingbird's secret hiding places. Bring your cameras, binoculars, water, hat and sunscreen. Everyone is invited! Hope to see you there:) Registration and costs are on their website.

Location: Athens, Georgia
