"Second Best"
Judy Royal Glenn Photography
This photograph was not what I planned, but it is better than nothing. While I was on Daniel Island, South Carolina for the Family Circle Cup tennis tournament, i wanted to photograph a sunrise.
I got up early and went to where I thought I would find the sun coming up over the horizon in a scenic location. I kept driving and driving, but did not find what I was looking for. Finally, I gave up on my vision and settle for what I could get.

Well, your second best is rather beautiful, even if it isn't what you wanted it to be. Isn't that kind of like God? We have desires and expectations in life, thinking they're the best thing for us. Yet God always has something better for us, even if it isn't what we initially desired.
