While in El Paso, Texas, we stopped at the Franklin Mountains State Park. Of course there are tons of cactus in Texas. This is the flower of the Claret cup cactus.

I never thought I would enjoy photographing cacti, but while I was at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia I became obsessed with photographing them. 

This cactus is the one on the bottom right of the shelf. I love its spiral pattern.
