Conspicuous

“Conspicuous”
Judy Royal Glenn Photography

Animals are obscure in fields because their fur blends in with the tones of the tall brown grass. Things change when snow makes them less conspicuous. They stick out like a sore thumb.

This is the case when I photographed a white-tailed deer in Cades Cove. The frozen surroundings made him stand out and created a beautiful scene.
