Muskrat Love

“Muskrat Love”
Judy Royal Glenn Photography

A friend teased me saying, ”Muskrat love” because I chose to photograph a muskrat instead of a bald eagle. I knew I could photograph the eagle later, so I chose to sit on several different rocks waiting for him to come out of his burrows.

When I first saw him, I thought he was a beaver. I have never seen a muskrat, let alone photographed one.

He took a mouth full of vegetation into his burrow. Once I knew where he went in, I knew where he would come out! Except for the time, he tricked me and came out the back door.

Location: Rome, Georgia

P.S. I haven't been able to reply on my blog for a while. I can't figure it out. Thank you for your kind comments. Hopefully, I will figure it out soon!

  1. I'd do exactly what you did! I can sit for ages waiting for creatures to poke their heads out. He's rather cute!
