Since we are celebrating Christmas, I thought I would change my blog for today to reflect Jesus' birth. It ties together because He is the one who allows me to see through His eyes.
I have enjoyed making wooden ornaments through the years. My favorites happen to be the ones that celebrate the birth of Jesus.
"And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger....
"And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." (ESV, Luke 2.8-11)
"But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart." (ESV, Luke 2:19)
I'm glad we don't have a boring God that would make everything look the same. I don't like spiders, but I really thought this little guy was kinda neat! I have never seen a green spider, and one that has dots on its back that match the flower's color!!
